Watkins Meegan Government Services, L.L.C. (WMGS), the federal practice group of Watkins Meegan, L.L.C., one of the largest and most respected accounting and financial services providers in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant.
As a recognized leader in providing quality financial management and IT support services, WMGS' exceptional staff is focused on serving the government sector with core competencies, including financial management support, OMB Circular A-123 support, audit support, budget formulation and execution, and financial management systems support.
We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks. This person must be well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a project office. The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.
Requirements:
• 2+ years experience supporting project management
• Experience assisting management with the creation of PowerPoint presentations
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook
• Bachelor’s degree
Responsibilities:
• Assist Managers with preparation of presentation materials
• Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare background documents as necessary
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
• Participate in meetings, take meeting notes and develop meeting minutes
